# System Architecture

> Overview of the Zenoo platform's Build Time and Run Time architecture

The Zenoo platform is structured into two core categories: **Build Time** and **Run Time**, enabling efficient creation and seamless execution of digital onboarding workflows.

#### **Build Time**

The **Design Studio** empowers users to manage the creation, modification, and deployment of onboarding workflows with minimal effort. Leveraging server-side Node.js, it provides features such as:

* **Storage Layer**: Integrates GIT for versioning and collaborative development.
* **Generators**: Automatically produce DSL scripts and UX elements using predefined templates.
* **Libraries**: Ready-to-use building blocks for rapid prototyping.
* **Build Server**: Automates deployment across environments.

On the client side, a React.js-based **Flow Editor** provides a no-code drag-and-drop interface, real-time UX previews, branding adjustments, and multi-language translations. Versioning of templates and libraries ensures consistent updates while maintaining backward compatibility.

#### **Run Time**

At runtime, the platform is powered by **Hub Instance (backend)** and **Hub Client Target (frontend)**. These components manage orchestration, third-party integrations, and real-time user interactions.

* **Hub Client (Frontend)**: Built with YAML and LESS, it enables precise UX control, responsive components, real-time data-driven logic, and advanced security measures such as CSP headers.
* **Hub Instance (Backend)**: A robust engine executing DSL scripts for workflows, managing connectors, processing API exchanges, and supporting lightweight clients. It employs Kafka for event streaming, REST APIs for client and admin interactions, and integrates observability tools like CloudWatch and DataDog.
